Purpose of Activity

To present a study examining the clinical outcomes of patients who have temporary ostomies in three Veterans Health Administration hospitals.

  2. Identify the results of the study, including indications and type of ostomy, health-related quality of life, time to reversal, reasons for non-reversal, postoperative complications, and mortality in the follow up period.
