Purpose of Activity

- Identify processes and outcomes from practices to allow longer functional dwell time of short peripheral catheters (SPCs).
- Identify the effectiveness of local anesthetics and factors influencing nurses? use of these anesthetics for intravenous (IV) cannulation and arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling.
