This session will provide a general overview of palliative care, including primary and tertiary levels of care, along with important skills for all nurse practitioners.  Identification of patients who could benefit from a palliative care approach will be discussed.

  2. Describe the philosophy, goals and practice of palliative medicine for patients facing life-threatening illnesses.
