Purpose of Activity

To present a study exploring the efficacy of a Web site designed for mothers of preterm infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) who breastfeed and/or provide breast milk.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Describe the need to use innovative information technology with this population and the study methodology.
  2. Discuss the results and clinical implications of the study exploring the efficacy of a Web site designed for mothers of preterm infants to improve breastfeeding outcomes.
